Built on Values That Matter
falorinthesu was founded on the belief that financial modeling education should be both accessible and rigorous. Since 2018, we've been helping South African analysts develop the skills they need to excel in their careers.
What Drives Us Forward
Our core values shape everything we do, from course development to student support. These principles guide how we approach financial education and why our graduates consistently perform well in their roles.
Excellence in Education
We maintain rigorous standards in our curriculum development. Each module undergoes quarterly reviews by industry professionals currently working at major South African financial institutions. This means our students learn techniques that are actually being used in boardrooms across Johannesburg and Cape Town today.
Practical Application
Theory without practice doesn't work in finance. That's why our students work with real case studies from South African companies across mining, retail, and banking sectors. One recent project involved modeling the financial impact of load shedding on manufacturing operations - exactly the kind of challenge our graduates face daily.
Student Success
Success means different things to different people. For some, it's landing that first analyst role. For others, it's finally understanding how to build a DCF model from scratch. We measure our success by tracking how our students progress in their careers over time, not just completion rates.
Industry Connections
Financial modeling isn't just about spreadsheets - it's about understanding business. We maintain active relationships with analysts at Standard Bank, Nedbank, and several boutique investment firms. These connections help us understand what skills employers actually value, beyond just technical competence.
How We Work Together
falorinthesu operates differently than most education providers. We're a small team - just twelve people - but we work closely with a network of practicing analysts who contribute to course development and student mentoring.
Candice leads our curriculum team and spent six years in equity research before joining us in 2019. Themba handles student support and previously worked in corporate finance at a mining company. This combination of education expertise and real-world experience shows up in everything we create.
